If you already have one, I would reach out to all of my existing clients and get as many five star reviews as possible. It is a great way for a Google Business Profile to generate more leads. You should also get citations, publish posts and upload photos. That is always step one for generating more local leads.
Kasra Dash: Step number two is to bolster your Google Business Profile with dedicated service pages. I would create SEO optimised pages on your website for each individual fencing service. Doing this helps those pages rank and also increases the chances of your Google Business Profile appearing for those keywords, which indirectly brings in more phone calls.
James Dooley: If you want more local leads, PPC lead generation is another option. This is pay per click within Google or Bing where you target bottom of the funnel keywords to generate enquiries. You must work with a good PPC agency because there is click fraud and you need a strong negative keyword list so you do not waste money on irrelevant searches such as jobs and careers. PPC can work well but in the wrong hands you can waste a lot of money.
Kasra Dash: You also have Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram. When someone is scrolling, they might see your ad. You can run lead form campaigns which keep the user on Facebook. These are easy to set up but the quality can be mixed unless you add qualifying questions. You can also run conversion ads that send people to your website to complete your contact form. Both options work depending on your goals.
James Dooley: Another way to grow local fencing leads is organic social media. Posting regularly on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram helps visibility. Reddit and Quora are also strong platforms if you answer questions. Organic social is a great long term way to generate leads.
Kasra Dash: Organic social is a volume game. You must upload consistently. It could be a daily or weekly schedule, such as committing to five videos per week. Consistency helps with algorithms on YouTube, Twitter and other platforms.

Kasra Dash: Businesses can set up AI agents that crop videos and autopublish to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. But I would also focus on AI search. People are slowly starting to search using ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok. If your brand is not showing up in these AI engines, you will struggle to get enquiries from them. AI search is something every business now needs to optimise for.
James Dooley: If you want more business leads in the local area, you can also use tradespeople websites. Checkatrade, Bark, Builder Builder, TrustATrader and Rated People can all generate fencing leads. You must track KPIs such as cost per lead, cost per acquisition and ROI.
