What Does “Top GEO Experts to Follow in 2026” Talk About?

This episode of the James Dooley Podcast features James Dooley and Kasra Dash breaking down who the top GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) experts to follow are heading into 2026. The hosts define GEO as the practice of achieving visibility within AI-powered search tools such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity, and emphasize that the skill set is rapidly becoming essential for anyone serious about search traffic. The conversation is structured as a curated roundup, with James and Kasra trading names and explaining exactly why each person deserves attention.

The episode covers a wide spectrum of practitioners. On the semantic and technical side, figures like Koray Tuğberk Gübür, Simon Słowik, Harry Anagnostopoulos, and Leo Soulas are spotlighted for their work on semantic triples, topical maps, micro semantics, and topical authority tools like Keyword Cupid. Prolific testers such as Matt Diggity, Craig Campbell, Kyle Roof, and Trion Vukoski are praised for proving strategies in competitive and even black-hat niches like iGaming and casino before reverse-engineering those wins for easier industries. Brand and PR-oriented operators including Sam Allcock, Scott Keever, Gareth Hoyle, Karl Hudson, and Georgi Todorov are highlighted for their mastery of online reputation management, listicle placement, digital PR, and parasite SEO as levers for appearing in AI-generated summaries.

The hosts also give nods to local SEO and technical specialists like Mark Sutherland, Dean Signori, Sergii Lukianchuk, Christian Marr Øhlers, Russell Lobo, David Johnson, and Viktoria Altman, rounding out a list that covers nearly every angle of modern GEO. Throughout the discussion, James and Kasra connect each expert to a specific tactic, making the episode a practical reference guide rather than a generic influencer list.

“If they can get it working in, for example, casino or betting, you can obviously get it ranking for like a much easier industry. So I always kind of look at the harder industries and reverse engineer that for the easier to win industries.”

— Kasra Dash

Known for his hands-on experience in competitive niches, James brings a practitioner's perspective to GEO, drawing on personal relationships with many of the experts he recommends. Throughout the episode he references shared experiences at industry events like Cusco mastermind retreats and draws on years of following semantic SEO developments, including learning directly from figures like Koray Tuğberk Gübür.

What Are the Key Takeaways From “Top GEO Experts to Follow in 2026”?

Here are the key points discussed in this episode:

  • Generative Engine Optimization is distinct from but overlapping with traditional SEO, requiring its own dedicated study of how LLMs interpret entities, semantic triples, and topical authority.
  • Getting a brand or business featured inside listicles on high-authority third-party websites is one of the most reliable tactics for appearing in AI Overviews and ChatGPT summaries.
  • Semantic precision at the word, sentence, and paragraph level, as championed by Koray Tuğberk Gübür and Harry Anagnostopoulos, is a foundational skill for manipulating how AI systems surface content.
  • Testing GEO strategies in brutally competitive niches like iGaming and casino, as Trion Vukoski and Christian Marr Øhlers do, provides a blueprint that can be reverse-engineered for easier industries.
  • Technical elements such as JSON-LD schema, clean site architecture, and strong entity positioning, areas Sergii Lukianchuk specializes in, are critical infrastructure for winning AI-driven visibility.

“One trick when it comes to AI overviews is actually getting inside listicles. And Scott is one of the people that I would be following when it comes to ORM and also the GEO side of stuff as well.”

— Kasra Dash

Is “Top GEO Experts to Follow in 2026” Worth Listening To?

This episode is worth listening to because it cuts straight through the noise around AI search by giving listeners a specific, named roster of practitioners who are actually producing results in GEO right now. Listeners walk away with a genuine who-to-follow roadmap rather than vague guidance to 'learn AI SEO.'

The episode is also valuable because it covers the full GEO ecosystem in a single sitting, from highly technical semantic content network builders and JSON-LD specialists to brand reputation managers and listicle engineers. The honest, conversational tone, including James repeatedly admitting he mispronounces names and Kasra joking about Gareth Hoyle never picking up the bill, keeps the episode engaging throughout. What Are Listeners Saying About This Episode?

★★★★★

“Finally an episode that names actual names instead of just saying 'follow the AI space.' I had heard of Matt Diggity and Craig Campbell but had no idea who Koray Tugberk Gubur was before this. After listening I went straight to his work on semantic triples and it changed how I think about content structure entirely.”

— Marcus T.

★★★★★

“The point about reverse-engineering GEO tactics from iGaming and casino niches was the most useful thing I've heard about AI search in months. Kasra's explanation of why Trion Vukoski and Christian Marr Ohlers are worth following even if you're in a clean industry made total sense. Subscribed immediately after this episode.”

— Priya S.

★★★★★

“I appreciated how James and Kasra connected each person to a specific tactic rather than just name-dropping. The breakdown of why Scott Keever and Sam Allcock matter for getting into listicles and AI summaries gave me three things I could actually test this week. Genuinely one of the more actionable SEO podcasts out there right now.”

Koray Tuğberk Gübür, Simon Słowik and Harry Anagnostopoulos feature for their work on semantic triples, topical maps and micro semantics because their frameworks shape how LLMs interpret entities and attributes. So today we're going to be talking about the best GEO experts for 2026. GEO for anybody that doesn't know what it is, it's basically generative engine optimization. So being able to rank high in Google AI overviews, in chat GBT, OpenAI, in Claude and Grock, uh also in Perplexity as well. So we have got a roundup of the best people to follow when it comes to generative engine optimization. James, you can you can go first. So, the first one I want to give a big shout out for to be the one of the best geoex experts in 2026. I'm going to apologize because I'm going to butcher his name once again. And he's already been shouting at me because he's now created a new knowledge panel for him. He's Corey Tuggy Goober. Now, he I try and pronounce it properly. Cory Tuk Goo. Now, he's probably going to be pronounced completely incorrectly once again, but I'm sure you know who he is. He's a Turkish SEO. He's unbelievable with semantics. He's taught me so much over the years regards the semantic triples, semantic content networks, topical maps because he understands the semantics on the micro semantics specifically. um is able to kind of create sentences at a word and a sentence and a paragraph level that the AI understands and then easily be able to mi manipulate those AI overviews. So I have to mention him first. He's absolutely great at gener generative engine optimization. So Casra, I'll let you go on to number two. Who you think it doesn't it's not in any specific order, but who else is a geoexpert for 2026? Yeah. So, one name that comes to mind is Simon Slowick. He is the Polish SEO. I believe he does a lot on the e-commerce SEO side of stuff. Um, but again, he he's one that um was in Turkey with you with Corey. So, he he he also understands semantics. He also understands the the importance of getting certain questions on a page to be able to rank for queries in GEO. So, he he's he is one to follow. Um, again, I think a lot of his case studies or I think he's got two websites. He's got a Polish website and he's also got an English website. Um, but again, a lot of his research is is done um very well, really thorough as well. Yeah, great guy. Um, the Polish No Party, of course, and um he had a great time over in Cusidaca. Um, he knows his stuff. He's very advanced with regards to GEO. Um, so yeah, he's definitely someone that I would be following in 2026. Uh, the next one on the list for me would have to be Matt Digity. Um, I think he's omni channel, he's omniresent, he understands SEO a very deep level. Um, and because of that there is a lot of overlap between go and SEO. Now, make certain you check out the link in the description. Me and Kazer will tear it apart where I'm actually saying that generative engine optimization is different to SEO. However, I'm contradicting myself slightly. There is a lot of overlaps. So Matt Diggity is a great SEO, but I would also have him in the list of best geoexperts in 2026. Yeah. So my next one is probably going to be Sam Alco. Now Sam basically his his background is more um the the PR side of stuff. So he does a lot of PR. He does a lot of OM, but he also understands like certain ways on how to structure content for it to actually rank in Google AI overviews and Claude for example. So he he he gets it. Um he again does it for a lot of like celebrities and stuff like that. He's based out in Dubai um now. So he he's also another good one to to actually follow. Yeah, for sure. Next one on the list for me is going to have to be Craig Campbell. Um, people know him for his blackout SEO strategies, but actually he's pretty advanced across the board. Um, he he knows all about building brand. He's very good with knowledge panels. Um, he's very active on all social media like YouTube and stuff like that and they can all manipulate the AI overviews as well. So, he knows a lot when it comes down to SEO. He's embraced everything that comes along with generif engine optimization and he's definitely has to be in the list for the best geoex experts in 2026 to follow. Yeah. My next one on the list is Scott Kever. Obviously myself and James, we've done a lot of work with Scott in the past. Um, again, very similar to Sam. He does a lot of OM for people and also for companies. So he he gets the the brand positioning point of view, making certain that your brand is aligned with with your competitors. A lot of a lot of companies right now that sounds very foreign to them. They don't want to be on listicles alongside their competitors. But one trick when it comes to AI overviews is actually getting inside listicles. And Scott is one of the people that I would be following when it comes to OM and also the the GEO side of stuff as well. Yeah, for sure. Next one on the list is going to have to be Gareth Hy for me. Um, he's a local lad. Uh, lives in Wsville where my head office is based. I've known him for a long time in the industry. He's won many awards to do SEO, but because of his highlevel link building strategies and digital PR of what he does at marketing signals, he's able to manipulate those AI overviews and chat GPT quite easily. Um, so Gareth Oil is a great guy all around. Does a lot of traveling. He always wants to keep one step ahead of the game and he's definitely a geoexpert I would be looking to follow in 2026. One slight downside with Gareth Oil is he never picks up the bill. So if you're ever out with him, just just know. Um my next one on the list is Kyle Roof. Now, Kyle is obviously he's famous for his Laura Mipsum uh case study where he was able to rank um without actually any proper content just by placing all of the the entities and stuff like that in the correct places on the actual page. But again, he's been doing a lot of testing when it comes to GEO. Um and again, he he's he's another one to follow. He he also does a lot of live um case studies that you can actually follow along inside his inside his group as well. So, another good one to to follow. Yeah, for sure. Next one on the list is business partner Kyle Hudson. Um, the founder of Searcheroo. Um, does a lot of power posts, very good with online reputation management. And a lot of these power posts like Parasite SEO is getting articles to rank on third party websites and it's able to manipulate, especially if you do a listical, it's able to manipulate um, Gemini um, and chat GBT and stuff like that again. So he is a great generative engine optimization person to follow for 2026. Yeah. My next person is Mark Slorence. He is from Scotland, Glasgow. He does a lot more on the local SEO side of stuff, but again he does rank a lot of local businesses and the AI overviews. So again, getting them inside listicles, getting citations, directories, he he know he knows it like the back of his hand. Yeah, for sure. Uh, next one on the list I'm going to have to give for Harry Anipopulus. Probably just absolutely but you that surname as well, but I'm sure people know who I'm on about. He's been trained up from the very start from Corey. Um, he's a he used to be a travel writer. He's got multiple travel websites. Absolutely crushes it out in Greece in multiple areas of travel. um very very advanced when it comes down to semantics, semantic content networks, topical maps and micro semantics. Very very advanced, willing to help the whole community, elevated a lot of other SEOs and very good at ranking in AI overviews. So he's definitely a geo expert to follow for 2026. Yeah. My next one is Leo Sulas. Now, Leo, for anybody that doesn't know who he who he is, what he does, he is the owner of Keyword Cupid and a few other tools like Signal Boy and stuff, but he understands like topical authority, making certain that you're getting certain entities on a page, which again feeds into LLMs and and GEO. So again, really good one to follow. A little bit more technical, but again, it's it's probably good to mix it up with some technical peoples as well. Yeah, for sure. Next one on the list, I'd say to follow as a geoexpert in 2026 is Dean Signori. Um, based up in the Northeast. Um, he does a lot of lead generation. I love the fact that he always asking questions because every day is a school day. Things innovate all the time. He's always willing to try and test and uh implement things, but he's always asking the right questions. So, he's ahead of the game when it comes to ranking in AI. Like you said, Gemini and ChatGpt being the main two. Um, he gets himself in a lot of AI overviews and he's definitely a generative engine optimization specialist I would be following in 2026. Yeah. My next one is Trion by Kooski. Again, I've I've probably butchered may maybe I've butchered it, maybe I've not. Um, but again, a black hat SEO, a lot of the stuff that he does is more in the eye gaming sector. But one thing that I would say is it's always good to to follow some of the guys that are in the harder to rank for industries cuz if they can get it working in, for example, casino or betting, uh, you can obviously get it ranking for like a much easier industry. So, I always kind of look at the the harder industries and reverse engineer that for the for the easier to to win industries. Yeah, for sure. Um, the next one I'm going to have on the list, and I'm going to butcher his surname again, is Sergy Luke going to take off. Is that right, Caswell? I think so. So, he was out in Cusades. Um, shared one or two masterminds with him out there. um very high level when it comes to technical JSON LD and ranking um within AI. He knows a lot of things with regards to the LLMs and how the LLMs work. Um so yeah, definitely a geoexpert to follow for 2026. Yeah, my next one and I believe this is the last name on the list is Christian Mar Olifson. So again, Christian very similar to Trion before. He does a lot on in the i gaming sector, black hat SEO. Um, but again understands the importance of ranking and GEO. So getting yourself into the generative engine optimization spots. So again, another good one to follow. Yeah, for sure. I mean, there is one or two others that probably to throw out there that I've got on this list here that I've been following quite a lot. Um, Russell Lobo. um very active in a lot of communities, does quite a lot for the industry, David Johnson, Victoria Alman, um the but then another one that who is doing very very well with regards to ranking in AIS is Georgie Toddof. Um he's doing quite a lot with regards to digital PR and stuff like that. So he's somebody else that I'd be wanting to throw in the list for the best geo geo specialist for 2026.
