What Does “The Top AI Assistants for Your Business” Talk About?
In this episode of the James Dooley Podcast, James Dooley and Kasra Dash sit down to compare and rank the best AI employee platforms available to businesses right now. They cover tools including Go High Level, Marbalism, CRA AI, Centra, Use Motion, and Lindy AI, discussing each platform's strengths, weaknesses, and ideal use cases. The conversation is grounded in real-world testing, with both hosts drawing on hands-on experience deploying these tools for lead generation, customer service, quoting assistance, LinkedIn outreach, and overflow call handling.
A central theme throughout the episode is the idea that AI employees are only as good as the information you feed them. James and Kasra stress that providing rich company data, such as hundreds of past emails and detailed workflow templates, dramatically improves AI performance. They also highlight how integration capability is often the deciding factor when choosing a platform, noting that Go High Level's ability to connect CRM, email marketing, and workflows inside a single ecosystem gives it a significant edge. The episode wraps with both hosts sharing their personal top rankings, giving listeners a clear and practical framework for evaluating these tools for their own businesses.
“If you give it only three emails instead of three hundred it won't perform at the same level.”
— James Dooley

What Are the Key Takeaways From “The Top AI Assistants for Your Business”?
Here are the key points discussed in this episode:
- Go High Level ranks as the top AI employee platform due to its deep integrations, responsive development team, and strong performance in lead nurturing and overflow call handling.
- The quality and volume of company data fed into an AI assistant directly determines how effectively it performs, making onboarding information a critical step in any AI deployment.
- Different AI platforms suit different business workflows, so evaluating integration options such as Gmail and Google Sheets connections is essential before committing to a tool.
- Lindy AI stands out for LinkedIn prospecting, particularly for outreach to professionals like school bursars and headteachers, offering a niche advantage over more generalist platforms.
- Marbalism offers a mix of useful and unnecessary AI roles, with its legal assistant for summarising contracts being a genuine strength while its SEO blog writer adds little value over using Claude or ChatGPT directly.
“Go High Level is number one for me. Their support and dev team react quickly to improvements and the AI assistants are now doing everything I need.”
— Kasra Dash
Is “The Top AI Assistants for Your Business” Worth Listening To?
This episode is worth listening to because it offers something rare in the AI tools space: a candid, experience-based comparison rather than a sponsored or surface-level overview. James and Kasra have actually deployed these platforms for real clients and share specific use cases, limitations, and results. Listeners get genuine insight into why Go High Level edges out competitors, why the Marbalism SEO writer is skippable, and why Centra at ninety-seven dollars represents strong value for smaller businesses.
The episode is also refreshingly practical. Rather than getting lost in feature lists, the hosts return repeatedly to the core principle that AI employee tools are only as effective as the data and prompts you supply them. This framing helps business owners understand that choosing the right tool is just the beginning, and that investing time in properly onboarding your AI assistant is what drives real results. For anyone actively evaluating AI automation for their business, this episode provides a clear starting point and a sensible decision-making framework.

What Are Listeners Saying About This Episode?
“Really appreciated how James and Kasra gave honest takes rather than just promoting everything. The breakdown of Marbalism's strengths and weaknesses was particularly useful, especially the point about skipping the SEO blog writer in favour of Claude or ChatGPT. Saved me from making a subscription mistake.”
“The tip about feeding three hundred emails instead of three into your AI assistant completely changed how I think about setting these tools up. I'd been wondering why my Go High Level chatbot felt generic, and now I know exactly why. Practical gold in this episode.”
“Kasra's experience using Lindy AI for LinkedIn outreach to school bursars and headteachers was a great specific example I hadn't seen covered anywhere else. This episode goes beyond surface-level reviews and actually gives you use cases you can map to your own business.”

James Dooley: Today we're going to be talking about the best AI employees. We've been testing a lot of these AI employees out. If you're watching this in a few months the list might change because AI improves fast or declines fast. But for now, what is your favourite AI? Kasra Dash: With AI employees my favourite right now is Go High Level. Their support and dev team react quickly to improvements and the AI assistants are now doing everything I need. It follows up leads, nurtures them and gathers the info that estimators or quantity surveyors need. So Go High Level is number one for me. James Dooley: We’ve tested Go High Level a lot. You can create your own chatbot, feed it all your company information and it becomes almost like an on-the-fly surveyor or quoting assistant because it has your previous templates and emails. We’ve also got Marbalism. You've been testing that a lot. For people who don’t know, it’s almost like a WhatsApp interface with built-in AI roles like SEO blog writer, social media person, receptionist, community manager. But all of these need information fed into them. They need to understand who you are and what you do. Kasra Dash: There are some Marbalism AI employees I don’t like. The SEO blog writer isn’t needed because you can prompt Claude or ChatGPT yourself for better content. Same for lead generation follow-up. But I do like the legal assistant. It helps summarise contracts and privacy policies clearly. So Marbalism has strengths and weaknesses, but it’s still one of the brands I’m happy with right now. Another platform we’ve tested is CRA AI. It also has personal assistants, social managers, receptionists, voice AI for overflow call centres. It’s good, but only as good as the prompts you feed it. Still, CRA AI is a brand I like. James Dooley: Centra is another one. Their branding is great. If you’ve seen their ads, they have the mini robots. Use Motion also fits that style with their AI roles like Alfred the executive assistant or their AI sales rep. For most people the choice will probably come down to pricing because most tools do similar things. What matters is how much company information you feed the system. If you give it only three emails instead of three hundred it won’t perform at the same level. Kasra Dash: Another one we’ve been using is Lindy AI. It’s similar to the others with personal assistants and social managers. But the support chatbot is very good and the LinkedIn prospecting has worked well. We do a lot of work with schools and it messages bursars, business managers and headteachers effectively. So Lindy AI belongs in the mix. One more thing about Go High Level that I liked is the overflow call centre. Lots of businesses we send leads to close at 5pm and miss calls. The AI voice assistant can take those calls, gather details and send everything by email. That's a strong feature when comparing AI employees. James Dooley: So what’s your one and two right now? Kasra Dash: Number one is Go High Level. Number two is Centra. I like their branding and they’re only 97 dollars. But Go High Level is still first. James Dooley: With CRA AI they also have the ecom bot and data analyst which are solid. But I admit I might be biased because I'm already using High Level for other things. It integrates email marketing, CRM, workflows. When everything connects inside one platform I prefer it. That’s why I lean towards Go High Level. But for business owners the advice is simple. Look at integrations. Some tools connect to Gmail. Some connect to Google Sheets. Some don’t. Pick the workflow that fits your business. What works for us might not be the best for someone running an ecommerce store. Kasra Dash: Exactly. And to round it up, your current top three? James Dooley: At present my one, two, three for best AI employees are: Number one Go High Level. Number two Marbalism. Number three CRA AI. This could change, so if you're watching this later just reach out through Fat Rank and I’ll tell you my updated list.
