What Does “Fast Backlink Indexing: What Actually Works in 2025” Talk About?

This episode of the James Dooley Podcast tackles a critical but often overlooked aspect of SEO: getting backlinks indexed by Google quickly. James Dooley and Kasra Dash explain why backlink indexation is so important, detailing how Google must first crawl a third-party URL before any link equity or PageRank can flow to the target site. They discuss how the explosion of AI-generated content, images, videos, press releases, and guest posts has created a major scaling problem for Google, making it harder than ever for standard methods to get pages crawled efficiently.

The episode walks through a range of indexing approaches, starting with the free Google Search Console method, which allows site owners to request indexing directly but is limited to properties they control. James and Kasra then explain why this approach fails entirely for third-party backlink pages, and why older tools like Index Me Now and Amigga Indexer did not deliver reliable results. The conversation shifts to dedicated indexing platforms including Indexional, Indexal, Giga Indexer, and Backlink Indexing Tool, highlighting features like Googlebot IP transparency, 200 status code confirmation, and drip feeding large batches of URLs to maintain consistent and safe crawl rates.

“Google now has a major scaling problem. AI has massively increased the number of articles, URLs, images, videos, press releases, and guest posts that Google needs to crawl and index.”

— James Dooley

What Are the Key Takeaways From “Fast Backlink Indexing: What Actually Works in 2025”?

Here are the key points discussed in this episode:

  • Google must crawl a third-party URL before any link equity or PageRank from a backlink can be passed to your target website.
  • Google Search Console is a useful free tool for indexing pages on your own site, but it cannot be used to index backlinks hosted on third-party websites.
  • AI-generated content has dramatically increased the volume of URLs Google needs to process, making it harder for new pages and backlinks to get crawled quickly without active intervention.
  • Dedicated indexing tools like Indexional, Giga Indexer, and Backlink Indexing Tool provide transparency into Googlebot activity, including which IP crawled a URL and confirmation of a 200 status code, typically within 24 hours.
  • Drip feeding large batches of URLs through an indexing tool rather than submitting them all at once helps maintain consistent crawl rates and avoids potential issues with bulk submission.

“You submit the URL, confirm a 200 status code, and Googlebot typically crawls it within 24 hours.”

— James Dooley

This episode of the James Dooley Podcast features James Dooley and Kasra Dash explaining how to index backlinks fast in Google, because crawl speed and link discovery directly influence rankings and authority flow.
James Dooley explains why backlink indexation matters, because Google must crawl third party URLs before link equity can pass to a target site. He outlines why traditional methods and older indexing tools struggle, because Google is overwhelmed by AI generated content, media assets, and large scale publishing.
Kasra Dash breaks down practical indexing methods, because understanding the limits of Google Search Console and the benefits of dedicated indexing tools helps avoid wasted effort. The episode focuses on Indexional, Indexal, Giga Indexer, and Backlink Indexing Tool, because controlled crawling, visibility into Googlebot activity, and drip feeding improve indexation success at scale.

Kasra Dash: Today we are talking about how to index backlinks fast on Google. I am joined with James, and we are going to break down a few different ways you can index URLs and show Google which pages it should be visiting. James Dooley: Indexing URLs on your own website and through backlinks is extremely important. It ensures Googlebot is actually crawling the pages. The number one way we index URLs fast in our industry and within the agency is by using Indexional. James Dooley: I invested in the tool and the brand last year because Google now has a major scaling problem. AI has massively increased the number of articles, URLs, images, videos, press releases, and guest posts that Google needs to crawl and index. It is critical to trigger Googlebot to crawl these assets quickly, and Indexional does that very fast. Kasra Dash: There are several ways to index URLs quickly. I will walk through a few methods. If you want to index your own website, the free method is Google Search Console. You paste the URL at the top and request indexing. That takes a few seconds and prompts Googlebot to crawl the page. Kasra Dash: The limitation with this method is that it only works if you are the site owner. If you are trying to index backlinks on third party websites, this approach does not work. James Dooley: That is exactly the issue. Google Search Console is a solid free option for your own site, but you do not have access to Search Console for third party websites. I tested many indexing tools last year, including Index Me Now and Amigga Indexer. None of them delivered fast Googlebot crawls or strong enough indexation rates. James Dooley: Because of that, I invested in Indexal, Giga Indexer, and then set up Backlink Indexing Tool and Indexional. What I like most is transparency. You can see which Googlebot IP crawled the URL. You submit the URL, confirm a 200 status code, and Googlebot typically crawls it within 24 hours. James Dooley: Once Googlebot crawls the page, it has a strong chance of indexing it if the content is suitable. Any hyperlinks on that page pointing to your website are then crawled, allowing PageRank and link equity to be distributed properly. In my view, this is the most effective way to get backlinks indexed in Google. Kasra Dash: Another useful feature is drip feeding. If you have a long list of URLs, such as three or four hundred, you can drip feed them instead of submitting everything at once. The system handles the pacing, which avoids issues and keeps crawling consistent. Kasra Dash: That wraps up our video on how to index URLs and backlinks fast.
